Training Curriculum Development
The Emergency Management Center has worked with
the FEMA CSEPP Training Program to develop a variety of training
curriculums for emergency planners and responders. We have a unique
combination of personnel that facilitates the development of training
materials. These include people with technical backgrounds in emergency
planning related topics (evacuation, warning systems, risk communication,
health and safety and so forth), educational specialists, and multimedia
design specialists. This enables us to put together a development
team that can work together to develop a product. Experience has
shown that it is important to have technical experts working with
developers on a day-to-day basis to achieve a product with high
quality design and technical accuracy. Our capabilities include
the production of multimedia and computer-based curriculums. Recent
Courses include: CSEPP Chemical Awareness, ACT FAST (Agent Characterization
and Toxicity First Aid and Special Treatment), Response Phase Decontamination,
and Personal Protective Equipment.
