Description: This kit, designed for classroom training purposes, simulates the color, viscosity, and scent of nerve agents Soman (GD), thickened Soman (TGD), Sarin (GB), and VX, as well as blister agents, distilled Mustard (HD) and Lewisite (L). Visual simulants are contained in clear, sealed glass vials. The scent simulants are added into a sponge material and contained inside dark-brown glass vials. The chemical properties are based upon literature and first-hand accounts from personnel experienced in working within chemical surety facilities. Each glass vial is marked with the designation “simulant”. A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is provided for each chemical used as a simulant. Glass vials are color coded on the caps with the appropriate agent designation. Instructions for use are on the inside lid cover. A pair of laboratory gloves are provided with the kit along with directions for the clean-up of a liquid spill should a vial be accidentally broken. Kits are made upon order, therefore, please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
